Today is the last day of radiation treatment. I'm happy like a little kid.

All is well finishing radiation treatment.

Well I guess that means I'm normal again or I'm on the path to begin normal. What is normal now? Still have more to do. Now we move on to the local treatment phase and appts regarding that treatment.
I'm just happy that I'm past the chemo and that some of the side effects from it will start to disappear. I wish the side effects would disappear quickly or over night. But I guess gradually is fine as well.

Heading back to work on the 19th. My doc wants me to chill out,rest and see him next week.

I'm so happy to be done with this portion of the treatment. Today is graduation day to me. I'm taking in margaritas and daiquiris (virgin of course) to the nurses in the chemo center. Of course I will be partaking in the drink as well. Even though today is a long day 4 hours of treatment. I don't care. It is a lovely day in NYC, sun is shining, there is a breeze and the birds are chirping in bklyn!!!!.
I got a lot of information resources to add today.
I haven't made a lot of blogs since treatment 6 because a sister has been busy having some fun.
Treatment 7 went fine -June 21. The usual body aches and pains.
Went to Atlantic City for a couple of days. Won a little and had fun. No jackpot, so back to reality.
Had a wonderful b-day weekend with the girls for DC, Fl. and GA. You are all phenomenal woman. Love you all. Loved all the exercise we got , Aida and the laughs. Loved my "great excape spa day" at Cynergy Spa in Fort Greene Bklyn. Doesn't cost a lot and you will feel better.

So starting to feel better. What is normal now wasn't normal before. but oh well!!!! Today is a lovely day to stroll in the park or picnic in the park.

Resources Resources- YWCA of Bklyn - At Atlantic avenue and 3rd ave. The have the Encore Plus Prgram provides low-cast or no-cost mammograms. Also formed a support classes, weekly fitness and aquatics class. For infomritn call 718-875-1019. I was told some of the resource might be free.
Gilda's Club of Brooklyn located at 8th avenue and 5th street near Methodist hospital.
and do forget Share Program for NY and Brooklyn. You can information on the Share website. Don't forget to use local hospitals for resources and information. :D

its not fun feeling and losing control of aspects of life. Or even having to chill out because you body is giving you no options. Walking better or should I say normal. Still have pins-n-needles feeling in my feet and hands. But alot less that I can function and view it as normal now.
You just have to remember that this too will past. 3 treatments left to go looking forward not back. Can't keep a diva down. Its a nice sunny day in NYC in the 70s. everyone have a great day :D

Feeling really weird. Numbing feeling in the hands and feet. The usually ache all over and tired today. But the upside is only 3 left to go and the sun in shining in NYC. :oops:
Can't keep a good woman down for long. time for a nap.

Well, I'm over the hill. treatment 4 was monday. Appetite is coming back and energy. so here is my food request. Go to Zetunya's and have the veggie mexican salad and one of their sinfully chocolate treats. Or go to Mcdonald's for one of their salads or find a ice cream shop and have a chocolate fudge ice cream with fresh strawberries and bananas on top. Or have a huge fruit salad for me thanks.

It's a great day. Feeling good. My appetite is back, but my tastebuds are off. Getting use to the changes on my skin. Happy Mother’s day to all the mothers, teachers, aunties and godmothers of the earth. :lol:

I'm starting to feel yucky- like I'm coming down with flu symptoms again. The nausea isn't that bad right now. I've go a new concoction I brewed today. A ginger/green tea with lemon and honey. It helped more. I'm eating lots of crackers and a little fruit.

So here is my dream meal for the folks that are near and dear to my heart. Once again the rules are the same- if you call yourself my friend, or posse or partner-in-crime or co-worker you will complete this task, eat the recommended meal and email about how great it tasted. Take this task or you may self destruct in 30 hours after reading this. Oh, and did I tell you, your dream of winning any lotto will never come true.
I'm dreaming of: Delightful lite scramble eggs and bacon from Mangia on Wall street, Grande vanilla decaf coffee from Starbucks (across the street from Mangia). For lunch a medium fruit salad from the vendor on Wall street of or on Nassau. This is your task. Email me with the results.
